My work is focused on how symbolism can be generated in still life painting.  I am not concerned with a traditional, prescribed symbolism that can be derived from ancient sources. Rather, I aim to highlight how compositional context and syntax might alter any perceived symbolism that an object might have.
Anecdotal narratives emerge and are nurtured in the hope of encouraging viewer consideration of deeper philosophical meaning that lies within each work.
